USIMP takes a holistic approach to technology transfer by engaging industrial companies throughout the R&D process, fostering a culture of co-learning and co-creation that accelerates knowledge exchange, innovation, and societal impact.
USIMP activities aim at developing solutions to the challenges of the R&D innovation ecosystem, exploiting the rich institutional experience of its uniquely structured members.
Similarly, it supports policy-level efforts for a knowledge-based economy in Türkiye, through university-industry collaboration, knowledge and technology exchange.
Main focus of activities are to:
- promote and support Knowledge Exchange and Technology Transfer (KE/TT) activities in universities, research institutions, industrial companies, public research centers and non-governmental organizations, and to contribute to increasing awareness among all stakeholders,
- facilitate sharing and dissemination of knowledge and experience on KE/TT from institutions and organizations at national and international levels, more rapidly and in a targeted manner,
- contribute to the establishment of “Knowledge Exchange and Technology Transfer Interface Offices” (KE/TT Units) in universities across the country,
- establish a service standardization and recognition process for KE/TT interface organizations and their personnel for a better performance quality,
- support actions towards the development of policies and strategies and related the action plans on KE/TT, in coordination with public authorities.
